Emily C. Pittman is an artist and printmaker from Wabush, NL. She relocated to Halifax, NS, in 2021 to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at NSCAD University. Although she set her sights on becoming a painter, she stumbled across the world of printmaking during her second year and diverted her attention to its study. For the remainder of her degree, she worked tirelessly to learn and hone her skills as a printmaker across various media, namely Lithography, Intaglio, and Relief. She graduated from her program in May 2024, eager to begin her journey as a creator beyond school. Presently, she is creating prints at St. Michael’s Printshop in St. John’s, NL, and she was the recipient of the 2024 Don Wright Scholarship, an award granted annually to one artist.
