Equinor ArtsSmarts Scholarship

About the Scholarship

Equinor Canada, in partnership with ArtsNL, offers a $2,500 art scholarship to high school students commencing first-year full-time art studies in a degree or diploma program at a recognized publicly funded Canadian university, college, or post-secondary institution specific to education in the arts. The scholarship was established as part of Equinor’s partnership with ArtsSmarts, and ongoing commitment to arts and cultural development in the province.

    Upload documentation confirming a minimum 70% average for your last completed year of study.

  • Artist Statement

    The artist statement should include your reason for wanting to be a professional artist, a description of artists and/or works that you admire, and your academic and artistic goals. Your statement should be 300-500 words in length. Be sure to include your name at the top of your statement.

  • Letter of Recommendation

    Attach a letter of recommendation from a current or past educator familiar with your artistic qualifications.
