Grants

ArtsSmarts is available to schools and school boards in the provincial K-12 education system. This program is funded through the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education’s Cultural Connections Strategy, Equinor, and ArtsNL.

The Community Arts Program (CAP) is available to community-based not-for-profit arts organizations and community-based arts groups. This program is open to all artistic disciplines served by ArtsNL.

The Creation Grant Program provides funding to Indigenous artists, artistic groups, and culture carriers within Newfoundland and Labrador.

Equinor, in partnership with ArtsNL, offers an art scholarship to high school students commencing first year full-time art studies in a degree or diploma program at a recognized publicly funded Canadian university or college.

The Professional Artists Travel Fund (PATF) is available to Individual Professional Artists, Collaborations of Individual Professional Artists, and Professional Arts Groups.

The Professional Operating Program (POP) provides eligible not-for-profit arts organizations with annual operating grants to offset the costs associated with the administration, creation, production, and presentation of art.

The Professional Project Grants Program (PPGP) is available to artists, collaborations of artists, and professional arts groups.

The School Touring Program (STP) is available to individual professional artists, collaborations of individual professional artists, professional arts groups, and professional not-for-profit arts organizations in NL. The majority of its funding come from the Department of Education.
