Guidelines for Opportunities Digest Submissions
ArtsNL reserves the right to edit or shorten submissions received without sacrificing the message or objective of the content. We also reserve the right to omit any submissions deemed inappropriate for the newsletter.
Submission Deadline
The weekly deadline for Opportunities Digest submissions is 1:00 p.m. NT on Thursdays. (In the event of a scheduled Friday holiday, the deadline is 1:00 p.m. NT on Wednesday.) Submissions received after the deadline will be included in the following week’s issue.
Submission Format
The submission form will guide you through the format for a listing. A listing’s main body of text is limited to 1,000 words. A field is provided for the inclusion of a website URL to link to more information about your listing should it exceed the 1,000-word limit. If you do not have a website and your full listing is in a document format (e.g., PDF; Word), you can provide a shareable link to the document in the website URL field, if desired.
Open Listings
If you offer an ongoing (i.e., no closing date) service or resource for artists, your listing will remain in the Opportunities Digest for four (4) months. After that duration, you must resubmit your listing. If your listing is no longer applicable before the four-month mark, please contact us to have the listing removed.
Employment Listings
Employment listings with no closing date will be included for one (1) month. If the position has not been filled after that period, you must resubmit your listing. Please contact us to have a job listing removed before the one-month cut-off.
Event Listings
Please note that we do not accept submissions for paid events (e.g., concerts; theatre productions; screenings). We are currently planning to launch an events calendar for this purpose. However, we do accept listings for free events (e.g., workshops; public talks; public lectures).
